Jim Harbaugh, Rhode Island High School Basketball, and Conor McGregor

Our man Coach Khaki Pants and his Michigan Wolverines football team traveled to Florida’s IMG Academy this past week and shook up the Division I football world. Robbie, Todd, and I decided to dig into this topic again discussing how the Christian should balance being flashy and making some noise with being a man or woman or program of substance.

We also talked about a disappointing ending to the Rhode Island Division III championship game in which the Burrillville Broncos were defeated by the Chariho Chargers. Why was it disappointing? Because a Bronco player committed a turnover while celebrating victory shortly before the buzzer sounded. The official called the travel and the Chargers scored on the inbounds play to win the game. What can the Christian learn from such a dramatic and tough conclusion.

To finish up the podcast the three of us talked about Conor McGregor’s comments to Nate Diaz before their fight Saturday night. McGregor warned Diaz saying that Diaz shouldn’t have taken his name in vain. It’s not the first time McGregor has made comments about God and none of them have been positive. There are some important Gospel-centered moments in our talk. Be sure to listen to it.
